I loved this sweet story by B.J. Bassett. Gillian and Dusty have nothing in common. She's restoring her grandmother's house. Dusty is a surfer. She's a Christian. He's not. But something draws them together as he's helping her with renovations. When Gillian needs someone, Dusty's there for her. But will secrets from the past pull them apart?

Gillian's Heart is a wonderful inspirational romance about letting go of the past, unconditional love, and finding forgiveness. Sometimes you've just got to let things go so you can move forward in your life.

Building Benjamin: Naomi's Journey by Barbara Britton

Barbara Britton’s Biblical fiction story is a must read! I couldn’t stop reading about this tribe of Benjamin from the Old Testament. This story is brought to life as Naomi and Eliab struggle to reestablish the Benjamite tribe of Israel.

Eliab is part of what’s left of the tribe of Benjamin who takes Naomi from the tribe of Ephraim. How can God let this happen to her? Will her father and brother find her in time? When she is part of another kidnapping in the same night, she must come to terms with Eliab to ensure her safety and find her own path to follow God’s will for her life.

For such a time as this, she steps forth as a voice of forgiveness and mercy. But will anyone listen to a young shepherd and a young weaver?

I loved this story by Barbara Britton and cannot wait to read more of her books.

Grace and the Rancher by Mary Alford

“People have a way of remembering who you once were rather than believe it’s possible to change.”

This is so true. Grace has come to Delaney Mountain to get away from her past. Kyle is back to run his deceased father’s ranch. The townspeople know who Kyle was and warn Grace about him. But what happens when God gets ahold of you and changes you? Why is it so hard for people to believe something good has happened?

Kyle can’t forgive himself for what he did, so he doesn’t expect much from anyone else. After Grace tells him about her accident, they realize they have a stronger bond. Can they work through their past to find forgiveness for themselves and a future together?

I loved this contemporary romance by Mary Alford. Can’t wait to read more of her stories.

A Love to Call Mine by Merrillee Whren

Impossible wishes. A take-charge nurse. And an inconsiderate, self-centered man. God works through the difficult times in our lives, even Heather's preconceived notions and Max's annoyance of being told what to do.

Where does God's plan fall in for someone who has cancer? "It's hard to let our faith rule when bad things are happening to us." Max has to learn that God wants what's best for us, but sometimes we can't see it for what is happening around us. That's where faith comes in. Will God open Heather's eyes to see the real man before her today, not who he used to be before?

I loved this story by Merrille Whren. She's got a great author's voice. It's not often a book brings tears to my eyes when I get to the ending, but this one did. Heather and Max as a couple, their struggles, and the story line pulled me in. I didn't want to see this one end. If you're facing a trial and you see no way out, or how God could even have a hand in the outcome, you need to read this book. You may not understand the journey, but you can feel God's hand in yours.

The Rancher's Texas Twins by Allie Pleiter

I love this story by Allie Pleiter. Avery's twins are adorable as they take over Gabe's life with all their pinkness.

Avery Culpepper is summoned to a Texas town by her dead grandfather, whom she's never met. Gabe Everett is in charge of making sure she doesn't leave town until after the town's celebration, in accordance with her grandfather's will. If they don't abide by the will, her grandfather's ranch, which houses a boys' ranch, will be turned into a strip mall. Can Gabe convince her and her twins to stay in town?

When Avery shows up with her four-year-old twins, Gabe is overcome by all little things pink. But once they steal his heart, can he bear to see them leave? He may never see peace again, but their little giggles and laughs and tea parties draw him in and pierce his heart.

I loved this story by Karen Rock. Dani Crawford is running from her past, and especially law officials. Jackson Cade is a bounty hunter who tracks a criminal to the dude ranch where Dani works. While Jackson is searching for his man, Dani has to make sure he doesn’t figure out who she is and what she did. Can she keep him at arm’s length so he doesn’t learn of her secret?

This is a great heartwarming story about forgiving. As Jackson closes in on his criminal, he's closing in on figuring out Dani's past. Jackson has a past too. But when Dani's past shows up in her present, can Jackson keep her safe? If you love cowboys, horses, and adventure, you will love A Cowboy to Keep.

Another great tale by Caryl McAdoo. The way she weaves history, story-telling, romance, and God’s love into Covering Love, makes this series a great family saga. When you read the books in order you can follow who’s who and what’s happened to them. This is book eight in the Texas Romance Family Saga series. This tale shares the adventures, heartaches, and hopes of the Buckmeyers, Baylors, and Nightingales.

Crockett and Levi head out to find Becca and bring her back home per Henry Buckmeyer’s dying wish. While Crockett is gone to find Becca, Charlotte goes to New York City to handle her brother’s business. Can she handle his business partner? Little Evie steals the story with her wish for Nathaniel to wait for her. She is six and loves May Buckmeyer’s books. Will she carry on the tradition of sharing their family’s history? Houston and Leilani’s close call will have you pulling for them to survive.

I’ve enjoyed getting to know these families. Can’t wait for the next book to see where their adventures take them. Will Evie and Nathaniel get together? We’ll just have to wait until she’s older to find out.

God’s covering love, friendships, and a family bond above all others, bind this family together and helps them through the rough spots.
