I received a free copy in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Plain Retribution by Dana R Lynn

Loved this Amish suspense by Dana R Lynn! What do you do when someone has targeted you and you're deaf? The only person you can rely on is police officer Miles Olsen to keep you safe, who is the only person in town you can communicate with. But can he protect the woman he's falling for, or will his past mistakes cause him to slip up and get her hurt? Everything he knows and loves is on the line until he can secure Rebecca's safety. When Rebecca is kidnapped again, will she survive long enough for Miles to save her?

I enjoyed this story's look at deafness and communication. Miles grew up signing and speaking in ASL (American Sign Language). Rebecca is working toward a Certified Deaf Interpreter certificate. Dana's depiction of Rebecca's deafness increased my awareness of some of the things she encountered in her daily life.

Plain Target by Dana R Lynn

From being followed to locked in a freezer, Jess McGrath is on a mission to clear her brother’s name. But somebody doesn’t want the truth to get out. Did her brother kill himself? Or was he murdered?

Seth Travis humiliated her in high school, but now he’s the only one that can keep her safe. But now that he’s grown up, he realizes how much he likes her. Can they put their past behind them and start over?

If you love suspense you’ll love Plain Target. Who has targeted Jess? As the list of suspects get shorter, you won’t believe who has decided it’s best to get Jess out of the way. From the start this story is action packed until the last page.
