Wisdom From a Father: One Dad's Thoughts on Life by Joe Siccardi
Wisdom From a Father is a great collection of entries taken from Joe Siccardi's blog with the same title. There are 52 entries, one for each week of the year, if you decide to read it that way. You can read as much or as little as you choose, but each entry will give you a little inspiration, a little hope, a little insight into the life of Joe Siccardi. But in each one you'll also find a nugget of truth, a similarity to something in your own life. I had several favorites throughout the book, but some of the ones that stayed with me were: Mad Max, Every Day a Friday, and Pepperoni Dreams had two pages turned down. This one's thought to remember states: "We have what we need to be happy. We just don't have the right perspective."
Anyone can get something from this book as there are different subjects and content. Need a little inspiration, read Dion Shares His Truth. Need a laugh, read Mad Max.
I look forward to reading other books by this author!
I received a free copy in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Heaven Shining Through by Joe Siccardi
Heaven Shining Through is a short novella that follows Samantha through her teen years with her friends, to getting married, to taking care of her mom. With humor, truth, and faith, Joe Siccardi's story shows God is present even in the ordinary parts of our lives.
Samantha is a controlled woman who knows what she wants. Until Chad. They meet, fall in love, and then get engaged and married in the same weekend. As Samantha progresses through her life she learns more and more about her parents' past, their love for her, and her love for Chad. Prepare to go on a journey.
A sentence from the book that stuck with me is: 'That's why we wear aprons when we cook.' Samantha's mom states this as she is helping her cook. It just made me think we can make mistakes, things may not go the way we thought they would, but it's okay. Heaven shines through giving us another start.
