Precisely at Midnight by Joyce and Alexandra Swann (Kinsman Book 2)
Precisely at Midnight is the sequel to The Invitation. When you receive an invitation, what do you do? Accept right away? Think about it? This story follows up on what happened after The Invitation was given and is filled with suspense, adventure, and lots of hope.
This story has several characters, many from The Invitation, and also new ones. The event that struck me the most was when Carol went to India. She heard a woman's voice calling to her and decided to go search for her. Through bravery and determination she found the woman. What does the woman do with the invitation she is given? What do the others do who had received an invitation and accepted? I couldn't stop reading until I found out, and now I can't wait for the next book in the series.
What will you do with your invitation? Turn it down, accept it and stay as you are, or accept it and do more?
I received a free copy in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

N Plain Sight by Joyce Swann
N Plain Sight is the third book in this futuristic young adult series. What would happen if all the Christians were detained for their faith? Petra, Rahm, River and the others leave Prayer Mountain and head to the heart of downtown Dallas. No one would expect them to show up there.
Petra goes to work for the New America Homeland Security. Her main job is monitoring the adult trainees, the ones that have been captured. With another girl in the office they orchestrate freeing many prisoners. But what happens when someone figures out who she is and what she's doing? You won't be able to stop reading once you start, and when you get to the end, you'll be asking for the next book in the series.
If you've enjoyed the other two books in the series, enjoy reading Christian suspense and stories that make you think, you will love N Plain Sight. Would you be targeted as a Christian if it became outlawed to be one? If you escaped capture, would you join the ranks to help the ones being tortured in prison or would you just try to blend in and be glad you weren't "one of those"? This series has made me consider how strong my faith is and how serious it is, and ask the question would my faith withstand persecution?

The Invitation by Joyce and Alexandra Swann
Kevin Marshal is stuck in a job he hates, ready to marry a girl who only wants things to make her happy, and he has no hope in sight. When he receives an invitation: You Are Invited he’s not sure what to do. All his troubles will be over. His debts paid. Will he accept? He realizes if he accepts the invitation, his future will be different from his past. People from his past will be different. New people will be in his future. What will he choose? A life he’s used to or a new life filled with hope, love, forgiveness, faith?
The Invitation is an inside look at what will happen if Kevin accepts the invitation before him. Choices have consequences. What will you do with your invitation?
Another great story by Joyce and Alexandra Swann. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

N: The Shadow of the Cross by Joyce Swann
This is the second story in the futuristic young adult series N. Children of arrested Christians are targeted. Petra and Rahm are trying to keep them safe. They move their hideout to Prayer Mountain. Their location must remain secret to protect them. When someone reaches out to them for help, can they trust him to keep their location a secret?
If you were targeted as a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you? This is what ran through my mind as I read this short story. Petra and Rahm put their lives on the line to keep these kids safe. If they are caught they will be killed. Would you be willing to put your life on the line as they do?
You do not need to read these in order, but you know more of the characters’ backgrounds if you do.
I cannot wait to read the next installment. This one leaves you waiting for more. What will happen if they are discovered? Who is on their side? The Shadow of the Cross will keep you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what is going to happen next.

N: The Beginning by Joyce Swann
This is a great start to a new series! N: The Beginning is a short story and the first in a futuristic young adult series. Christianity has been outlawed. Christians are hunted down and arrested. Kids are rounded up and put in a re-education program. Petra Bordeaux leads a band of children, keeping them safe and spreading the news of what the National Council is doing.
How strong are you in your faith? If you were targeted for being a Christian, would you stand firm? Brother and sister, Petra and Artiss Bordeaux, are in such a position. A group of teens in North Texas are fighting for their freedom while escaping capture and imprisonment in a federal re-education center. Seamus shows up and tells Petra it has begun. He leads the way when there seems no way. Do you have faith that God can take care of you? Do you try to take things into your own hands, to help God out? Though friends, family, don't follow God, will you follow the truth on your own? It's your own decision. Not something you do just because your parents did. You have to make the choice. What will your choice be?
I look forward to more books in this series. With the way things are in the world today, this a very timely subject. Even after reading the story, I'm still thinking about how it impacted me. How serious am I about my faith? Would it withstand persecution? Will you be a part of N?
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Christmas Cake by Joyce Swann
A few years have passed since Michelle interviewed Esther Cook in The Thanksgiving Gift. Michelle is making Esther's Christmas Cake. Esther was the first person to talk to Michelle about Jesus. I enjoyed this story of faith and hope during the Christmas season. Michelle's mother doesn't know Jesus and sees no need for salvation. She worked hard to turn Michelle's father away from being a Christian. We don't understand why God lets things happen the way they do. Sometimes we just have to trust God to know.
Michelle compares the cake to Jesus. The cake is plain; people overlook it for the flashier desserts. Jesus isn't flashy, but He is perfect and when someone experiences Jesus Christ, they can't get enough. In order to understand the satisfaction He brings, you must experience it for yourself. No one else can explain it to you or experience it for you. This story filled my heart with peace. As events unfold, Michelle's mother must decide where she will be spending eternity. Where will you be spending eternity?
The Christmas Cake is the second story in the Holiday Collection. You don't have to read these in order, but it helps to figure out characters and to understand the back story. I like that these stories contain the salvation message and offer peace, hope, love, and forgiveness. I am uplifted and encouraged as I read these stories. They don't take long to read, but are filled with inspiration and hope regardless of what you are going through.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Thanksgiving Gift By: Joyce Swann
I loved this short story by Joyce Swann. The Thanksgiving Gift is filled with hope, faith, and love, inspired by a true story from the author’s family. These characters will grip your heart and pull you into their story.
Michelle Madison is a reporter in Pittsburg, Kansas. She is going to interview Gracerville’s resident, Esther Cook, who is celebrating her 100th birthday. Everything should go according to plan: get in, do the interview, leave. But what Michelle learns during the interview, will change her life.
Esther tells Michelle about her life after she married Floyd. When everything seemed to be going wrong, she turned it over to God, and found peace beyond anything she’d ever experienced before. When she opened her heart to a little girl, Esther found that faith like a child is contagious. Children don’t see things as too hard for God. In their eyes, all things are under God’s control.
Esther enjoys telling everyone she meets about Jesus. She wants everyone to know about God’s love. You can’t change, repent, or work on things on your own. You have to let Jesus work in you. Michelle thinks she can be a secret disciple of Jesus. Esther tells her that either your secrecy kills your faith or your faith kills your secrecy.
Will you allow Esther’s story to impact your life as Michelle did? Testimonies are everything. What is yours? Pick up this great story today and let Esther’s story speak to your heart.

The Force By: Alexandra and Joyce Swann
I loved The Force! From the first page I was hooked and couldn’t stop reading. Power, intrigue, mystery, suspense, thriller, and God’s grace and forgiveness permeate throughout this story. If you like a book filled with twists and suspense, this is the book for you. Read this latest Christian medical thriller from the Swanns!
Alexander Sinclair taught his twin sons, Joshua and Jarrod, that there is a difference between force and power. The Devil has force; God has power—power to create, power to protect, and power to help us in every situation. Fred Kowalski retired from the New York City Police Department and then comes across the greatest case of his career. He will need God’s power as he comes against the force of Josef Helmick.
Hollywood sex symbol clones are turning up dead. Even their DNA matches the dead movie stars, like Marilynn Monroe, Sophie Lauren, and Audrey Hepburn. Where are they coming from? Helmick supplies them to wealthy men to use them as sex slaves, or to torture and murder. The Sinclairs consult for GenCEN—the Genetic Crimes Enforcement Network, which is an international police force that ensures all genetic research and innovation meet carefully-established international guidelines. They agree to consult on the case, and when they realize it can only involve Josef Helmick, they are ready to prove him guilty. Believing Helmick lured their parents to his father’s home and killed them, they hire Fred to track him down and get the proof to put him away. Along the way, Jarrod and Joshua must come to terms with their parents’ deaths and with Helmick’s involvement.
Helmick is using hypnosis to control everyone. He is in possession of a means to control the thoughts of billions of people to transform the world. Can Fred and the Sinclairs stop him? Why is he cloning these movie stars, and what is his ulterior motive in controlling the thoughts of billions of people? You’ll have to pick up this book to see!
The Force is the sequel to The Fourth Kingdom, but you don’t have to read it first to follow what is going on. For the best Christian medical thriller, check out the Swanns’ The Force!

The Chosen By: Alexandra and Joyce Swann
The Chosen, by Alexandra and Joyce Swann, is the sequel to The Planner. This is an eerie conclusion to what can happen when the government has complete control. The Electronic Communications Agency, ECA, is formed by the government and it redefines anti-American speech to be anything the administration deems it to be. What happens when a handful has complete control over everyone’s thoughts and actions? People are kidnapped and imprisoned as terrorists without trial and without proof. They can be held indefinitely or killed. Don’t agree with what the government is doing? You can be arrested.
Kris and Kyle Mitchell must fight against this government that has taken complete control. They must fight for the God-given rights that were bestowed on this nation by our Creator. Fight for Freedom. Fight for the Constitution. Fight for the laws of our country. Many people are disappearing and being held or killed. Kris’ husband and brother in law are arrested and she has no idea where they are being held or what has happened to them. In order to fight back, Kris hires Julian Cicchetti to defend her case that this action by the government is unconstitutional. Will he be willing to go on record as being against the government and the Supreme Court who has upheld the government’s stance? Will the Supreme Court be willing to hear this case? They had previously sided with the government and closed down. Once the Supreme Court is out of the way, the Senate and the House of Representatives will be targeted next. Then the only branch of government will be the President and he will have ultimate control. Will anyone be willing to stand up for their rights and put a stop to this out of control government?
If you won’t stand up for your rights, who will? Be ready to hold onto your seat as you read this suspenseful tale of a controlling government and the few who dare to stand up for what they believe in. The eerie part is what happens in this book could realistically happen. Will there be anyone strong enough who will stand up for their rights?
The conclusion to this story is the best I’ve seen. Now that’s a great book! I can’t wait to read more books by Alexandra and Joyce Swann. If you like suspenseful tales that won’t turn you loose from page one, you will love this book!

The Fourth Kingdom By: Joyce and Alexandra Swann
Another awesome book! I started this book and couldn’t put it down. Dr Alexander Sinclair is a Christian scientist who clones vegetation to help eliminate world hunger. He alters a plant’s genetic structure to make it adaptable anywhere, and then clones that plant. Dr Karl Helmick is a secular scientist who created Doppelganger, the most successful cloning farm. Even though these two scientists’ beliefs are the exact opposite of each other, they team up to create a cure for cancer. Unfortunately, Dr Sinclair has a feeling things aren’t as they seem. What does Dr Helmick hope to accomplish and what is he really cloning?
Enjoy a tour through Doppelganger and see the laboratory where the embryos are waiting to be cloned, the finished product of cloned cattle, and how it all works. The scientific explanations are just enough to thoroughly explain what’s going on without weighing down the story. Dr Sinclair believes Jesus is the savior and is coming back. Dr Helmick believes there will be a secular savior and he is preparing for his arrival.
Dr Helmick spent his youth in Nazi Germany. He believes Dr Sinclair will renounce his faith and follow Dr Helmick’s scientific breakthroughs. If you enjoy medical thrillers that involve cloning, a Christian scientist, a secular scientist, with a lot of intrigue, you will love this book! You won’t believe how far reaching this novel is as you turn each page in this must read book.

The Twelfth Juror By: Alexandra and Joyce Swann
This is a great book by Alexandra and Joyce Swann! Megan Cleary has everything going for her—she is a partner in a law firm, has the perfect boyfriend, and is enjoying life to the fullest. Or, so she thought. When she decides to work late one night, she is beaten and raped. Her world is turned upside down. Her way of thinking changes, her lifestyle changes, her financial situation changes, and even who her friends are changes. Who can you turn to when everything around you is crumbling down? God is still in control. That’s the lesson Megan has to learn. Megan buys a gun to protect herself after the shooting, and when she is attacked again by the same man, she shoots and kills him, and then runs. See how she copes with the tragedy that has befallen her and how she deals with the punishment she has bestowed upon her attacker.
Once you start this book, you will not be able to put it down. If you love mystery, suspense, and legal thrillers you will love this book. Learning to let go of fear and guilt play a big part in this story; learning to let God be in control of your life is sometimes the hardest thing to do—read to see how Megan turns loose and lets God have control of her life so she can live again. This book is a definite must read and I can’t wait to read other books by Alexandra and Joyce Swann. Just when you think you have it all figured out, something unexpected happens and keeps you turning the pages to the end!

The Warrior By Joyce Swann
Have you ever read a book where even before you started reading it, you told people about the book you were going to read? Or, once you started reading it, you told people you have to read this book? Once you start this book, you will be telling people about it and you won’t be able to put it down. This book will change your life one page at a time. You will laugh, cry, chuckle, laugh out loud, and have tears streaming down your face. Once you finish this book, you will sit there with all these emotions running through you and wonder what you can read next. Nothing else will compare.
I received this book free from Alexandra Swann in exchange for a book review. When I read what the book was about, I had cold chills. I started telling my family what the book was about even before I received it. After I started reading the book, I told them again. Just like the woman in the book, I could tell they didn’t understand. I will try to explain what the book is about without giving too much away. Just make sure you go get this book!
Elizabeth Anderson has a dream about a motorcycle accident. She wakes up and feels compelled to pray for the young man involved. She has no idea who the guy is, if the accident even happened, or why she feels like he needs prayer. By the time her husband wakes up, she has been up praying for him. Her women’s Bible study group meets that morning and she requests prayer for this young man after explaining what had happened that morning. Everyone is quiet. All Elizabeth detects is irritation and embarrassment from the other members—and she has known them for years. During dinner that night, Elizabeth tells her husband, Boomer, what happened that morning and about the cold reception at the Bible study. Her children look at her funny and her husband tells her that if she wants to pray for this man, she needs to do it quietly. No one will understand.
Do you have cold chills yet, or am I the only one? I have had several dreams about people I don’t know and this book was like an answer. I’ve asked before, “Lord, what do I do with this name or this circumstance that I have dreamed about?” As the years go by for Elizabeth and “Timothy”, the name she has given to the man in the motorcycle accident, this book tells their stories. You find out exactly how powerful prayer can be and how faithful and just our God really is. Do you suffer from loneliness, drugs, anger, not knowing what God wants you to do, or feeling like no one could ever love you? This book is for you. Are you on the road to Heaven and need some encouragement? This book is for you. Once you start this book, you will not be able to put it down and it will change your life no matter where you are. I look forward to reading more books by this author!
