Mail-Order Christmas Baby by Sherri Shackelford (Montana Courtships #1)
Absolutely love this story by Sherri Shackelford. Sterling Blackwell receives a package, only it's nothing he's ordered. Who would send a baby through the mail? In an envelope with the baby, Sterling and the town's teacher Heather O'Connor are named the baby's parents. As Sterling and Heather take care of baby Gracie and find out who she belongs to, secrets from the past threaten to destroy the future they have planned.
The characters made me feel a part of the town and the story. Who does the baby belong to? Can Heather trust Sterling to take care of her and the baby? When the truth unfolds about Gracie's parentage, will it free Sterling and Heather to become the family they've been pretending to be or tear them apart? For a great inspirational historical romance, you won't want to miss Mail-Order Christmas Baby.
I received a free copy in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

A Temporary Family by Sherri Shackelford
I loved this story, A Temporary Family, by Sherri Shackelford. Both main characters, Tilly Hargreaves and Nolan West, are trying to figure out who they are and what they want. I could connect with both characters, and the danger they find themselves in pulled me into the story.
Tilly has always been perceived as flighty and irresponsible. But what happens when she is solely responsible for her 3 young nieces against outlaws?
Nolan fought in the war and was captured. He’s content to live on his own at a stagecoach station in the middle of nowhere. He’s put routines in place to guarantee order. Can he let go of his past to protect Tilly and her nieces against the outlaws that have set up camp?
I want to be like Tilly, able to really listen, to offer peace to the ones around her. Can she help Nolan control things around him by realizing what he needs by what he says? This paragraph, spoken by Tilly, stuck with me even after I’d finished reading: “We’re both trying to hide the worst parts of ourselves from the rest of the world.” She immediately regretted voicing her words aloud. “I’m sorry. I don’t know why I said that. I only meant that you and I both want something uniquely our own.”
If you enjoy inspirational historical fiction, you’ll love this story.

Special Delivery Baby by Sherri Shackelford
I loved this story by Sherri Shackelford. Will Canfield and Tomasina Stone are perfect for each other, once they work through some things, like Texas Tom being a drover, and Will wanting to go into politics. With an abandoned baby in the mix, I couldn't stop reading.
Will Canfield, Noah Burgess, and Daniel Gardner found Cowboy Creek after they get out of the war. Tomasina drives a herd of cattle into Cowboy Creek. Her pa had died on the trail. Will finds an abandoned baby outside his door. The Murdoch gang instigating trouble, Will having rules in town he expects to be obeyed, and Texas Tom out to break every one of them, and abandoned baby had me laughing, crying, and cheering for the characters. I felt like I was living in this town and these were my neighbors.
Tomasina wants her past back, her life as a drover and her pa in charge. Will is looking to the future. Cowboy Creek would be the county seat and he the governor. Can Will and Tomasina come to terms on what they want out of life? Sometimes what we want most out of life isn't really what we need. This is a story you don't want to miss.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
