Cowboy Just In Time Blurb

When event planner Amanda Totten falls through a barn trapdoor and finds herself in the arms of an 1890’s cowboy, she scrambles to find a way back to the future. She has a life and obligations—her fledgling business and her mother’s financial needs. But the less stressful lifestyle, and her deepening love for Gavin Medley, is calling to her heart and she is torn between past and future.

Has God given her a chance at love?

Gavin Medley has been working for years to regain his family homestead. As ranch foreman, he has nothing but a dream of a place and family of his own. But his love for Amanda is making him think that having his own ranch isn’t as important as having someone to love for the rest of his life.

Amanda returns to the future, and Gavin is shattered. He tries to go forward in time, but fails. Believing it's God’s will, Gavin resigns himself to living without the love of his life.

But love transcends time, and Amanda and Gavin need each other. Can Amanda return to her cowboy?

Interesting Tidbits

When my oldest daughter Paige turned 40 I remember thinking how old my grandma was at 40. As a teenager, I vowed I would not be an “old” grandma. Now I’m a great-grandmother and remain young at heart.

I burned 20 years-worth of 5-year diaries before Bill and I moved to the country.

I walked barefoot as a kid in summer, even into the pasture, and only wore shoes to town on Saturday and for Sunday school. Those bare feet stepped on many rusty nails.

I wrote letters to pen pals as a girl.

My ideal gift is someone cooking or cleaning for me.

Friends, I sure hope you enjoyed getting to know LoRee Peery and Cowboy Just In Time

Touches of Time by LoRee Peery

This is another great story by LoRee Peery. A cold case, a search for God, and a new life soon to be born. From an old journal to tracking down leads, Touches of Time follows the journey of a 35-year-old unsolved case.

Ford Melcher is a cold-case investigator. The case he is working on may coincide with the truth Sarah is searching for. Can he help bring resolution to her soul as well as to her family? Will his feelings for Sarah end when he solves the case, or do his feelings go deeper than that?

Sarah Bishop is a mother-to-be searching for God and who killed her grandfather. While investigating the cold facts surrounding her grandfather’s murder 35 years ago, she just might unleash her doubts regarding a God who loves and cares for her, and bring old feelings to the surface putting her life in danger.

Can Ford keep Sarah safe while he investigates? Once Sarah realizes Ford held back important information, will she allow him to remain in her life with her unborn child? Will she find God's place in her life?

I enjoyed reading the journal entries and following the cold-case investigation from beginning to end. If you love a romantic suspenseful story, you will love Touches of Time. Walk through time with Sarah and Ford and see if you can figure out who killed her grandfather.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Where Hearts Meet by Loree Peery

Another great romance by Loree Peery. Deena Shores works at Francisco Memory Care as a care companion. One of her patients is Rose Hart who suffers from Alzheimer's. Deena's father left her and her mother when she was little causing Deena to feel abandoned. She can't fall in love because they would leave just like her father did. Why would God let him leave?

Simon Hart, Rose's son, is gruff and unapproachable when Deena sees him as she's caring for his mother Rose. His ex-wife left after 6 months of marriage. He doesn't know where she went. He can't trust his heart to anyone else for fear they will leave.

As Simon sees Deena caring for his mom, he must face his past. When his ex-wife shows up, he must choose whether to stay with her or let her go to build a future with Deena.

Deena believes her father left her at a young age due to something she did. Simon doesn't know why his ex-wife disappeared. Can Deena and Simon find happiness together as they learn to trust in God and let go of their past? Pick up this great story to find out. This is a sweet romance, but also realistically portrays the struggles Deena and Simon face dealing with Alzheimer's. Will they be pulled apart or drawn closer together?

Paisley's Pattern by LoRee Peery

God has a sense of humor. He would have to. How else could you explain it? Paisley Robbins lives in the same town as Robin Paisley. Paisley moved around a lot with her mother. She figured that was just the way things are. Robin has no idea how he got his name. He is angry about his past, always struggling that he never knew who his father was. Paisley gets Robin's mail. They fall in love. But then, their past, their fears, and their doubts tear them apart.

Robin Paisley has stopped talking to his mother. She would never talk about his father. He has so much bitterness about his past God can't move in his future. He has lost the one woman he loved. Paisley is his exact opposite and she couldn't live with his seriousness, bitterness, and the chip on his shoulder. Can Robin turn all his bitterness over to God?

Paisley gets a job tagging items for a sale in a house for her aunt. She is used to picking up and moving every 6 months growing up with her mother. But now, what would it be like to set down roots and live somewhere permanently? If Robin could come to terms with his past and let God fill his heart with joy, could she marry him?

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. This is a wonderful story of two characters figuring out who they are. Paisley and Robbin need to let God's Word speak to their heart, to let His love shine through them. Paisley discovers long buried secrets in the house. Will it bring Paisley and Robin closer together or tear them further apart?

I loved the characters; the real life situations, their struggles, pulled me into their story. Another great book by LoRee Peery!

Found in the Woods By: LoRee Peery

I just came across LoRee Peery’s books the other day. After reading Found in the Woods, I am now a fan for life! LoRee Peery does an awesome job of weaving a story of faith, trust, love, and overcoming fear into characters that you care about in a book that you will not be able to put down. I tuned everything out while reading this book, realizing that time had passed as I was lost in the pages. Beth Phillips is running from an abusive ex-husband, a past that she can’t change, and an unknowable future. She runs to a secluded cabin to hide and draw closer to God. Aiden Holt is following rumors of a wolf; as he tries to capture the wolf, he realizes he has lost his heart to Beth; however, he has a past and secrets of his own. Can they get past their fears and their past that has shaped them, to trust God fully and overcome their fear? All through this book, LoRee Peery gives us wisdom to use in our everyday struggle to live for God. “Knowing the Lord doesn’t promise a storm-free life. But it is the sweetest guarantee that I don’t have to face life alone. His grace carries me through anything I face. That’s in Isaiah forty-three.” She even gives you scriptures to back up what she is saying to help you in your walk. “Jesus is everything I need at any given moment. Strength, courage, shelter, inspiration.” No matter what you are going through, Jesus is all you need. People can make choices that mess up somebody else’s plans and their actions impact our lives, but whatever happens, God is bigger than anything we’ll face. There is nothing you can do about your past; trust God with your future. Having a personal relationship with Him is knowing that He is guiding your steps. Why is “Do not be afraid” the most repeated command in the Bible? Fear is paralyzing; it takes faith, trust, and love to overcome fear. The twists and turns in this story will take you on a journey of overcoming paralyzing fear by faith, trust, and love. This book is for anyone who has experienced fear and anyone who loves a great Christian romance. I cannot wait to read more by this author!
