Branding the Wrangler’s Heart By: Davalynn Spencer

If you love Christian romance with a handsome, hardworking cowboy, Branding the Wrangler’s Heart is the book for you! Davalynn Spencer creates real characters with a memorable setting. Once I started this book, I didn’t want to put it down. The characters drew me into the story and I didn’t want to stop reading until I’d finished the book.

Whit Hutton and Olivia Hartman grew up together. He teased her in school. She grew up to be a lovely young woman. Now he’s trying to find a way to show her he has changed. Can he do that and still tease her?

Olivia comes back to work for her grandfather after her grandmother died. Whit is a cowboy on her grandfather’s ranch. Can she prove to him she’s not the same little girl, that she can pull her weight on the ranch?

Whit’s brand that he envisions for their cattle is very heartwarming. He just has to find a way to show Olivia she can trust him with her heart. This verse sums it up: He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust. They both must learn to trust before they can enjoy a future together. Pick this book up for a great love story! I can’t wait to read more by this author.

I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

A Place to Call Home By: Merrillee Whren

I loved this story by Merrillee Whren. It’s a story of hope, faith, and trust. This book is for anyone who has a hard time putting their past behind them. Our past is not to imprison us. Our hope and trust is in God who can use our pasts and insecurities. A Place to Call Home is a feeling you get when you are accepted and loved for who you are. Don’t miss this book and this very special feeling!

Kurt Jansen needed a job. He had served his sentence and was ready to move on. Molly Finnerty needed someone to restore her house. Can Kurt convince her to give him the job? What would she think of him with a prison record, trying to get custody of his kids, and everyone thinking he’d killed his wife? Kurt will have to find a way to trust Molly and believe God will work his problems out.

Molly has a past she keeps hidden from others. She doesn’t trust anyone for fear they will figure out who she is and what she’s done. Steve Barnett has a prison ministry and Molly is friends with his wife. He sends people to Molly to help out. She is a Christian but has a hard time believing God has forgiven her. Can she trust Kurt with her past while helping him deal with his mother-in-law, gain custody of his children, and prove his innocence? What happens when her past jeopardizes Kurt’s future?

Kurt and Molly need to learn to trust each other, others, and especially God. Both are worried about people’s perceptions of them. They can’t rest in the assurance that God has forgiven them and loves them. They are prisoners of their pasts. If you haven’t read A Place to Call Home, get it today! The engaging characters, the descriptive setting, and life events makes this book a must read!

Falling For the Farmer By: Narelle Atkins

Jack Bradley helps Kate Lawson escape from the church, while her wedding is in progress, leaving everyone to stare and wonder where she’s running off to. Kate realized, almost too late, that she didn’t love her fiancĂ© Rodney. So she left him standing at the alter. Jack drives the getaway car and was in a perfect position to help her escape. But, where will she go? What will her mother and father say? How can she tell Rodney he’s not the man for her? Sometimes it’s hard to trust people. Jack figures this out when Kate comes to work for him at his orchards. How could any man trust a woman that would leave her man standing there at the church? She shouldn’t have waited until the last minute to change her mind. But did she have a reason for doing it? Or was she being selfish and only thinking about herself? I loved Falling For the Farmer! Jack and Kate are wonderful, well-developed characters that I hated saying goodbye to on the last page. Kate decides she needs to face her responsibilities and stand on her own. Where does that leave Jack? If she stands on her own will she need him in her life? She’s a city girl; can she survive leaving the city behind and spending her life in the country instead of in a mall shopping? Pick up this book by Narelle Atkins and enjoy this sweet country romance!

Be Still My Soul By: Joanne Bischof

Be Still My Soul is Joanne Bischof’s debut novel. You’d never know it by reading this story! From page one, I was hooked and couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. Lonnie Sawyer and Gideon O’Riley are forced to marry. This is 19th century Appalachia and Gideon did steal a kiss. Even though they don’t love each other and Gideon doesn’t want to be married, Lonnie must learn to trust Gideon and Gideon must learn to love Lonnie. But, can Lonnie’s faith help Gideon come to terms with his new life and added responsibility? Not if Gideon’s old life keeps coming back to haunt him! Just when Lonnie thinks she can trust Gideon, something happens to push Gideon right back where he was. Read this truly amazing tale of two very different people and how they learn to trust in each other, God, and along the way, fall in love. Lonnie must have peace in her soul while Gideon fights his demons; however, Gideon needs peace to realize what he has before he loses it all. But, will it be a happily ever after or a never after? Be Still My Soul continues on in the second book of the series, Though My Heart Is Torn. If you love a great romantic tale of a hastily arranged marriage by the bride’s father that follows all the ups and downs of making that marriage work, you will love this story. You will be captured on page one and not turned lose till you finish. All the surprise twists will have you turning the pages, crying and laughing at the antics of these two characters. This is the love story to equal Scarlett and Rhett in Gone With the Wind. You won’t be disappointed! I cannot wait to read more by this debut author.

Found in the Woods By: LoRee Peery

I just came across LoRee Peery’s books the other day. After reading Found in the Woods, I am now a fan for life! LoRee Peery does an awesome job of weaving a story of faith, trust, love, and overcoming fear into characters that you care about in a book that you will not be able to put down. I tuned everything out while reading this book, realizing that time had passed as I was lost in the pages. Beth Phillips is running from an abusive ex-husband, a past that she can’t change, and an unknowable future. She runs to a secluded cabin to hide and draw closer to God. Aiden Holt is following rumors of a wolf; as he tries to capture the wolf, he realizes he has lost his heart to Beth; however, he has a past and secrets of his own. Can they get past their fears and their past that has shaped them, to trust God fully and overcome their fear? All through this book, LoRee Peery gives us wisdom to use in our everyday struggle to live for God. “Knowing the Lord doesn’t promise a storm-free life. But it is the sweetest guarantee that I don’t have to face life alone. His grace carries me through anything I face. That’s in Isaiah forty-three.” She even gives you scriptures to back up what she is saying to help you in your walk. “Jesus is everything I need at any given moment. Strength, courage, shelter, inspiration.” No matter what you are going through, Jesus is all you need. People can make choices that mess up somebody else’s plans and their actions impact our lives, but whatever happens, God is bigger than anything we’ll face. There is nothing you can do about your past; trust God with your future. Having a personal relationship with Him is knowing that He is guiding your steps. Why is “Do not be afraid” the most repeated command in the Bible? Fear is paralyzing; it takes faith, trust, and love to overcome fear. The twists and turns in this story will take you on a journey of overcoming paralyzing fear by faith, trust, and love. This book is for anyone who has experienced fear and anyone who loves a great Christian romance. I cannot wait to read more by this author!

Home for Good Jessica Keller

What an amazing book! I laughed, cried, hoped, and cheered with the wonderful characters in this debut novel by Jessica Keller. Home for Good is about Jericho Freed who left his home, his wife, and an unborn child because he was a drunk. Eight years later he approaches Ali Silver, his wife, and she takes off running, literally. Is it too late for Jericho to ask for forgiveness? Forgiveness means you grant pardon for what happened. Can Ali forgive Jericho and let him be a father to Chance and a husband to her? She’s afraid she will get hurt again if he leaves a second time, and she has Chance to think about. How will it affect him if his daddy takes off again? Ali must learn to forgive and to trust. You experience freedom in forgiveness. You’re not bitter, resentful, or angry anymore. Can Ali let all that go to have the life God wants for her? Do you need a fresh start like Ali does? You’re identity is not the makeup of past mistakes. You now have a clean slate to change your world and start over. Ali is having issues of her own out of her nonprofit business Big Sky Dreams for handicapped children. Money is missing, things are tampered with, cattle are set free and lost or killed, tires are slashed, and horses are turned loose. Who is responsible for these events? Who can Ali trust? This all started happening when Jericho came back to town. Are the events related, or is someone else behind the mayhem? Can Ali put her trust back in God, even though she feels He left her? Will she realize God has always been there, it was she who walked away from God? He’s always been right there waiting for her to turn back to Him. You will not believe the twists and turns in this story, and the perfect ending. When you let God have control, anything can happen! Come join Ali and Jericho and the other wonderful characters in this sweet, engaging story by Jessica Keller. I look forward to reading more by this author. If you love Christian Romance that portrays a deeper understanding of love, forgiveness, trust, and hope, this book is for you!

A Baby for Dry Creek By Janet Tronstad

I loved this book by Janet Tronstad! A Baby for Dry Creek is about kindness, forgiveness, and trusting another person to love you for who you are. Chrissy Hamilton has a son out of wedlock. Since she grew up with a single parent, she knows the way people will act toward her and her son. The few times she had been to church, she heard how the people whispered about her and her mother. Reno Redfern had met Chrissy in the previous book, A Hero for Dry Creek. She ended up returning to Las Vegas and Reno figured that’s where she belonged. Like his mother, she wouldn’t be happy living in a small town without the big city lights. However, when Chrissy gets into trouble, who is her rescuer? Reno Redfern decides maybe he can show her the finer points of living in a small town. He goes to get her and bring her back to Dry Creek. Chrissy is afraid she will get the cold shoulder from everyone once they find out she has a child. Can Reno prove to her he can love her for who she is? Will Chrissy accept the kindness from the community members of Dry Creek, or is she like Reno fears, more attuned to life in the big city? Before Chrissy can decide, she needs to learn how to trust again and to accept help from others. Sometimes we can’t do it all on our own and need help from friends, family, and especially God. It doesn’t make us weak; it makes us stronger. Make sure you pick up this great book by Janet Tronstad and check out her other books in this series!

A Hero for Dry Creek By Janet Tronstad I loved this story by Janet Tronstad. Ever wonder if a fairy tale could come true? Just ask Nicki Redfern! She wakes up one morning and thinks she sees Prince Charming outside her window. Prince Charming, aka Garrett Hamilton, is acting as a chauffeur for someone close to Nicki. This person will bring back hurtful memories for Nicki. Can she come to peace with her past and give up her independence? Can Garrett give up Big Blue and his “on the road” lifestyle? Read this story and see how God can use a fairy tale, a truck driver, and the past to forge a loving, happy-ever-after, God-led future when you trust God. Nicki’s mother left when she was young. She never knew why. Now is her chance to find out what happened since her mother has come back. Can she understand why her mother did what she did? Can she find forgiveness in her heart? Will she find true love with Garrett? Everyone will enjoy reading this book. A touch of western, inspirational, lots of humor and romance, you won’t want to put this book down once you start it!

Attracted to Fire by DiAnn Mills

Attracted to Fire By DiAnn Mills I received this e-book free from NetGalley in exchange for a book review. Attracted to Fire is a great book! Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. If you are looking for a very suspenseful page-turner, this is it! Somebody is responsible for all the trouble and nobody can trust anybody. Bob Lawson and Meghan Connors are assigned to protect Vice-President Hall’s daughter, Lindsay. VP Hall becomes President when the President’s cancer spreads. Lindsay is a drug addict and alcoholic. Ash Zinders is the agent in charge and he doesn’t like female agents. Sparks fly when Meghan and Ash get together at the Dancin’ Dust Ranch where Lindsay is taken for rehab and to be watched. While they are there, an agent is killed, a scorpion ends up in Meghan’s bed, a ranch hand and the cook are killed. Does Lindsay hold the key to what is happening? Lindsay doesn’t know who to trust or who to tell her secrets to. When she starts talking, you won’t believe what happens. You will not be able to put this book down. David Sanchez is the psychologist the Vice-President calls in to help Lindsay. He uses supplements, vitamins and diet to combat her addictions. Does it work or is she living a nightmare? Does she really know what is going on or just imagining things? Suspense starts from page one and does not stop until you read the last page. Lindsay realizes her choices had destroyed any dreams of having the life she longed to live. She learns she has to face her demon and find out what he wants so she can stop him. She can’t trust anybody and feels she has to do it on her own. This book is about trust and forgiveness. You can’t do things on your own. You need God on your side and you need your friends so you don’t feel alone. Read Attracted to Fire by DiAnn Mills. You will be glad you did. Even after reading the book, you will be thinking about the characters and what you learned about God and trust and forgiveness. This is a definite must read! I look forward to reading other books by DiAnn Mills.
