Life isn't perfect, but with God we have an anchor. This story drew me in with the characters' struggles with life events. Drug addiction, abortion, and incarceration are just a few of the issues these characters must deal with.
The more of this book I read the more I wanted to do to help people who are suffering. You may not realize the people you come in contact with are in pain. What can you do today to help relieve what someone may be going through? God doesn't hold our pasts against us. So why should we hold others' pasts against them? Why is it so hard to forgive ourselves like God has forgiven us? A lifetime of regrets can cripple you, keep you down, or you can realize God loves you and He wants to restore you with His love.
Jennifer Slattery's books just get better and better. She realistically depicts life's struggles through her characters. If you like inspirational fiction that is not sugar coated, you will love Jennifer's books.
