Amanda Reynolds is from the city looking to make it big as a singer. Mitch Cunningham is from the country, a small town, who doesn’t plan on leaving. What happens when they meet and sparks start to fly? When she’s given the break she’s been searching for she’ll have to decide whether to leave behind everything she’s found that she didn’t know she was searching for, or stay and never know if she could make it as a performer for a future with Mitch.

The usual big city/small town jokes that are expected aren’t presented in the usual light, for a nice change. Amanda’s used to others making decisions for her, but when she makes her own choices, how can she be sure they will be the right ones? Mitch or a career in Nashville-which will she choose? Merrillee Whren’s characters come to life in A Song to Call Ours. Their dilemma, dialogue, and decisions drew me into the story. Sometimes as we follow our dreams, God gives us little surprises along the way and our accomplished dreams turn into more than we could ever ask or imagine.
