The Reckoning at Gossamer Pond by Jaime Jo Wright
Another great story by Jaime Jo Wright! She weaves past and present together effortlessly to solve a mystery brought to light by a death. The Reckoning at Gossamer Pond is the story of the past colliding with the future. From the past, someone is sending obituary notices to the local paper and Libby finds them. That person is then found dead. Can Libby figure out what is going on before it's her turn?
When Eugene Hayes dies, Annalise finds that he has been researching her past and the town's past. What do the murders from the past have to do with her?
I enjoyed reading about this town's past and the people in it as Annalise researched the connections and found out more about the past. If you love a historical mystery/suspense, you will love this story! I enjoyed getting to know the characters from the past and the present. Gossamer Pond sounds like a place I'd love to visit. Can't wait to read more by this author!
I received a free copy from Net Galley in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Sons of Blackbird Mountain by Joanne Bischof
Joanne Bischof's novels capture your attention from the cover, to the first page, straight through to the last page. Sons of Blackbird Mountain is no different. Aven's husband died and she goes to a far away place in nineteenth-century Appalachia to be with his cousins. The Norgaard brothers are tough, rugged, and open their hearts and home to her. One of the brothers is deaf and mute, and has a troubling past. Can love heal his pain and knit the family together, or pull it apart at the seams?
Sons of Blackbird Mountain will pull you in with the beauty and harshness of living in Appalachia. Aven must learn to trust the family she has come to live with. As she opens her heart to love will the family she's come to know fall apart?
If you enjoy historical romances, you will love this story!

Fit for Joy: The Healing Power of Being You by Valeria Teles
Healing through courage and forgiveness
Fit for Joy: The Healing Power of Being You is Teles’ own personal story of her journey as a fitness competitor. By overcoming her past, she has discovered a way to train her body and soul for a joyful life. Fit for Joy is an engaging, inspiring story to help you overcome obstacles and find joy in your life.
Fit for Joy made me stop and think about forgiveness and how by forgiving, or not forgiving, it can affect me mentally, spiritually, even physically. When I finished reading the book, I felt a peace that I could control how I let things affect me. Instead of reacting to what others around me do or don't do, I can choose ahead of time to be at peace and happy. This book helps the reader put things into perspective. When things are in perspective, you don't feel so overwhelmed. I would recommend this book to anyone who is feeling stressed, has a difficult past, or who wants to see how to get the joy back in living.

The Putting Green Whisperer by Zoe McCarthy
Zoe has done it again! The Putting Green Whisperer is a fun, emotional, faith-building story that will grab your attention from page one and not let go. From the first I could feel Allie’s discouragement, insecurity, hopelessness. But as the story progressed, faith, hope, and love shone through.
Shoo, I loved the story behind how he got his nickname. The story may be about golf, but the relationships between him and his friends, Allie, and Jesus, makes this story shine. And even if you don’t know anything about golf, this story is a keeper. His strong steadfastness trusting in God’s will for his life encouraged me.
Allie, I connected so much with her. From hopelessness, to a new job, to facing her past, I could feel what she was going through. The author did a great job portraying her hesitancy in trusting God.
The Putting Green Whisperer is a very satisfying read!
