Wildflowers from Winter By Katie Ganshert
This is a great book from a debut author. Once you start this book, you won’t be able to put it down! Bethany Quinn is called back home. Her best friend’s husband is in a coma; they haven’t talked for many years. Her grandfather, Dan, has a heart attack. Bethany decides to go back home for one week. Then she finds Evan has been living with her grandfather and running the farm.
This book will grab your heart and not let go. Bethany deals with loss, hopelessness, and fighting to find her faith. Her life is pulled out from under her. She loses everything she thought was important. Now God can get her attention and show her what He wants her to do. Grandpa Dan used to say, “Even if we do everything right, things are still going to go wrong.” Bethany must learn how to let go and let God in all aspects of her life. Can she figure out how to do that before she does something that will radically change her life and before she find out what she should do?
I can’t wait to read more books by this great debut author. Her characterizations will draw you in and you will feel a deep connection to the characters. You will laugh and cry with Bethany and love the town of Peaks as she does. I look forward to more awesome books by this great author!
I was given this book by Waterbrook Press in exchange for a review.
